Great, except they cut you off if you are on for more than 200 hours in a month. They should have told me in advance.

Great ISP service!!!!! I looked at this service cautiously at first because it was less money so I assumed it could be not so good a service. I have been using it now for around two years with no problems. Very good connection speeds, no getting kicked off (not one time), an excellent service. I have also recommended this service to at least 15 other people and helped them get set up. Not one complaint from any of them either. I have tried a number of ISP's and this is by far the the best value and service!!!!

Have been with intergate for two months. Used tech support x 3. Fast response time with accurate answers

Billing: No problems

Network: Frequent problems getting ANY connection, connect speeds usually @28k, sometimes worse, unless connecting in the late evening or early morning when it speeds up to 33k. Connected at 50+ maybe twice in the last two months. Rare disconnects (when you finally do get a connection).

Value/Overall: Hey, it's $10...meets my infrequent needs. Very poor connect speeds/lots of busy signals or no answer.

I switched to Intergate from AOL because it's half the cost and less unnecessary BS. However, I'm continuously disconnected after 6 hours of surfing, downloading, whatever (I've got an old PC and a slow connection). I contacted Intergate about this and they confirmed, yes, EVERY customer is CUT OFF after 6 hours - regardless if the connection is active or not. They market themselves as unlimited Internet connection, but that's obviously a complete bold-faced lie.

I also tried this ISP. I am excited about the relatively good connection speeds. I am not so excited about the ability to go in online and adjust billing. I assumed that this was unlimited. I have heard people say 200 hours is a lot but I have 5 people in my family that access the internet at all different times. That could easily add up to over 200 hours esepcially in the summer when there is no school! I guess I will wait and see. T he honeymoon period is still on and I will have to see how these guys handle the test of time. I will remain posiptive. I am calling tomorrow to change my billing ot a different credit card and I will see if it is true what people say about tech support and busy signals. I believe there are a lot of people needing lots of help and face it $10 a month is cheap. You cannot expect too much support for these discount prices. So far, so good, though. After reading the comments I was pretty hard on this group but I will come back and
aise my ratings should the talk be just that. The 100 megs of webspace does save me $7 a month and that is pretty cool. I hope this all works! Go for it, Intergate!

I've used like over 400 hours this month with Intergate, no problem...I don't think they have a 200 hour limit.

They usually have like 4 or 5 access numbers from different networks in each city which is good because you can find the access number that gives you the best connection, which depends on your area.

Overall great service, good speed, good support.

John

For $10 bucks you can not beat this! I travel a lot so all their access numbers help a lot. I'm also from a small town and most ISP's charge at least $15.00 for less than what Intergate gives you.

I always connect at least at 51k or 52k and only get disconnected when I haven't been using it for a long time, which is understandable I guess.

For unlimited access with all the bells and whistles at $10 a month, you can't beat it.

Thumbs up Intergate!

Became aware of this ISP via an ad in the Kim Komando newsletter. Despite the fine print that said NO REFUNDS for ANY reason, I signed on for a year to obtain the $8.25 a month rate.

Service was good to average for a couple of months, then rapidly deteriorated to poor. Of the 6 dial-up local numbers, none is now reliable. Connecting the first time occurs around 1/3 of the tries. 2 - 6 tries are neeeded for the other 2/3. Even when connected, clicking gets no response many times. Absolutely no sign of activity! Logging off and dialing another access number often gets the same nonresponsiveness. Keeping track of a full month's service showed over 50 disconnects, varying from a few seconds after connecting to over an hour. Even during downloads! Maddening!

I installed a new V.92 modem. No better.

The phone company installed a complete new line. No better.

A complaint to the Komando organization was forwarded to Intergate. A supervisor contacted me via e-mail offering to have a tech supervisor contact me to weak my system for optimal performance. The tech support suggestions before this on how to weak the system have produced no improvement. (Tech support, to its credit, is a bright spot. It responds quickly. Suggestions don't bring improvement, but they try.)

A comparatively low monthly cost doesn't mean too much when you can't get online reliably, quickly, or stay connected reliably. Nor when you must spend up to an hour logging on.

Today was the final straw. I can send e-mail, but can't get a response to download from the Intergate servers. This level of service is enough to frustrate even a saint!

I am off to another ISP, despite the fact that I will lose the rest of my year's payment for service. Cable or satellite service is looking better and better despite its cost.

My suggestion is to look elsewhere. But if you decide Intergate is definitely the one for you, insist on a month-to-month contract. At least until you have used it for six months and have gotten good service during that time.

I have had this service less that two weeks. I have had trouble with frequent drops and inability to connect. 100 emails addresses is great, howver if you cant check any of them what good is it? I am trying to cancel the year I bought presently, if the busy signal will give way to some kind of technical support. It is a good thing I have another ISP so that i can connect when I have to.

I cancelled these guys and they gave me a cancellation code. They kept billing my credit card and now can't find a record of the cancellation they gave me. Drop them before you start. I called the tech line and they told me I needed to chill out. They are VERY, VERY band people. Drop them before you start. And NEVER, EVER gove them your credit card number. Losers.

I too have had repeated problems connecting, authentication failing, email down (either can't send but can receive, or the reverse), disconnects. There is never any info posted on site when network is down. Had no email for 3 days due to weather, and this was NEVER posted on their site. I have been applying for jobs online, and then I can't receive mail for hours or days and have no way to know if I got a response.

this is a nightmare. Am switching to something else even with all the hassle of changing address.

HORRIBLE COMPANY!!! DO NOT USE THESE UNSCRUPULOUS JOKERS!! They suspended my account because I happened to check my email from work while my daughter was online at home. They didn't notify me why they were doing this nor was it explained to me when I signed up. In addition their snotty rep informed me that they could suspend my account for sending ten or more emails at one time. I feel this is unreasonable and again was not spelled out when I signed up. After two days without email and after trying to contact their customer disservice I was told my account was suspended by a smug rep with a "take it or leave it attitude". When I asked if I could cancel my account and receive a refund of a portion of my annual subscription she said no. AGAIN, THESE PEOPLE ARE BAD NEWS!! YOU'D BE BETTER OFF USING A COUPLE OF TIN CANS AND A WIRE.
